From pit-town terraces to Glasshoughton new builds
Castleford grew up around coal, glass and pottery where the Aire and the Calder meet, and a lot of its housing still reflects that: long rows of red-brick terraces close to the town centre, with steep, narrow staircases that wear a carpet harder than any other part of the house.
Further out you'll find post-war estates in places like Airedale and Ferry Fryston, and newer estates around Glasshoughton where whole houses need carpeting at once. Each calls for something different, and it's far easier to decide when the samples are on your own floor.

Questions Castleford customers ask us
Where is your Castleford carpet showroom?
It's wherever you live. We don't keep a shop unit in Castleford or anywhere else — the samples travel to your house in our van. Not paying for premises is a big part of how we keep our carpet prices down.
Do you charge for the measure in Castleford?
No. Bringing the samples, measuring every room and writing up your quote is all free, and you're under no obligation to go ahead.
My staircase is narrow and steep — can you still carpet it?
Yes. Plenty of older Castleford terraces have tight, steep stairs and our fitters carpet them regularly. We'll measure each tread and riser on the visit and suggest a dense pile that copes with the extra wear on the nosings.
Can you carpet a brand-new house before we move in?
Yes. New-build owners often want the whole house done in one go, which is exactly what our full house carpet deals are for. Book a visit once you have access and we'll measure every room.
Can I pay by card when the carpet goes down?
Pay by cash or card; all the major cards are accepted. We don't offer finance — we put the effort into keeping the price low instead.
What if my floorboards or concrete aren't level?
We'll spot it when we measure. Where a floor needs it, we can screed or ply-board it before fitting so the carpet lies flat and doesn't wear unevenly, and we'll include that in your quote.
